2015 was a mixed year for me, full of ups and downs, rights and wrongs and most definitely change... a whole lotta change. I can't believe how fast this year has gone, it feels like only two minutes since my birthday in February and here I am, closer to being 19 than I am to my 18th birthday. I guess you can say a lot has changed through the course of this year, but that's the point of time and progression - if everything remained the same life would be pretty boring and soon enough, the people you know and love would become one dimensional and fake.
As you know, I am at university and therefore I don't have all the money in the world. I knew Christmas would be a different experience because, for the first time, I not only have to buy Christmas presents, but my food as well...
So the day has finally arrived... it's my University Christmas Day, it's been amazing! It actually felt like Christmas which was pretty cool, although now I'm more excited for the real Christmas day if that's even possible...
Ok, I know what you're thinking; 'CHARLOTTE, IT'S NOT CHRISTMAS EVE YET!' I know, I know, I'm not that eager. But there is an explanation...
I think it's a rule of Christmas that you have cheesy Christmas songs playing every hour of the day. There are so many great, classic songs that sometimes it's hard to choose which one to play first, and that's where the magic of a Christmas playlist comes in. These songs practically make Christmas, and everyone loves to dance and sing to them, with that in mind here is my Christmas playlist...
Since I am at university until mid-late December, I won't be at home for the annual tree decorating we have at home. I was pretty miffed about this because this is one of my favourite parts of Christmas and I wouldn't be there to help, until my dad came up with an ingenious solution...
Lincoln is famous for one thing at this time of year, and it's not the Steep Hill, it's the Christmas Market. I'd heard stories about it, even before I arrived here and finally got the opportunity to go with my family, and it didn't disappoint!
This is my first Christmas as a student but this didn't stop my flatmates and I getting extremely hyped up for the festive season and buying a christmas tree and the trimmings to put in our flat. I mean it wouldn't be Christmas if you didn't dance around the Christmas tree, singing cheesy Christmas songs now would it?
On Christmas movies, they always seem to make gingerbread houses and they always look really cool and yummy. Well I have a confession... Until today I had never made a gingerbread house in my entire life! But all that changed when we spotted gingerbread house making kits in Morrison's and thought we'd give it a whirl...
Who doesn't love Christmas films? The crazy plots, the awesome music and the fact that they are centered around the best (and most magical) time of the year. Not to mention the awesome all-star casts they drag in which helps to make things that little bit more special. With that in mind, here are my 5 favourite Christmas films
Hello!
Since it is December 1st, and therefore officially Christmas, I thought I would attempt to blog every day in the lead up to the big day and introduce for the first time on this blog, BLOGMAS! Get ready for a fun-filled month of all things Christmassy (because, let's face it, I am a giant child when it gets to this time of year) - I'm hoping to post recipies, tags and posts about my life as well as other festive things I think up at the time... So here is Blogmas day one, The Christmas Tag

So, as you know, I am a student at university which means I need to be organised. Now I'm not really an organised person usually but I decided to make the effort when I moved away just so that I could keep on track with my work and hopefully get into some really good habits for the rest of my degree. This new spurt of organisation meant I had to go stationery shopping (quel horreur!) so here is what I bought all the way back in August and things I've added to since then... Here is my stationery...
So today myself and my flatmates did a very adult thing and went house-hunting for our accommodation next year! Then we did a very childish thing and went to get waffles...
From a young age, every girl wants to go to a Masquerade Ball, and last night I got to live the dream when I went to my first ever Masquerade Ball!
Ok, so since students are notorious for being skint, I thought I would post a recipe for good quality food that can be maintained on a student budget. Feel free to modify these recipes according to personal taste but here is the recipe for Vegetarian Pasta Bake...
As you know I moved to university last week, I've had so much fun with my freshers experience but I did struggle with homesickness during the first few days. Since this is my first real taste of independence, and since I am close with my family, I found that not living at home was difficult for me.
Hey Guys,
Long time no speak, and there's a good reason for that... I moved into my university halls today and have been busy unpacking and meeting my lovely roommates...
Since I have finished my A Levels, and have had no routine to my daily life, I have noticed that I have been feeling quite sluggish and lethargic lately. After doing some research and watching a few videos about people changing their daily routines for a month I have decided to apply a change to my life and my diet.
Shall I tell you what annoys me about the culture I live in? This blame culture we have created to absolve our mistakes.
I know I haven't posted a film review in a while but I felt that I should break my silence for this film. A friend and I went to see Pixar's 'Inside Out' and, other than knowing it was about emotions, I had no idea the direction the film would take.
So I kinda have a confession... some of you won't like it, but I feel like I have to get it out or I will burst...
As I am at the time of my life where I am hopefully going to be going to university and I have been asked the same question repeatedly which is starting to get a little annoying; "So, what do you plan on doing in the future?"
So I'm watching Wimbledon and a question has suddenly struck me... why on earth do the players make a crazy noise when they hit the ball?
This weekend has had to be one of the best times of my life! It was my best friend's birthday and, after her surprise birthday party, we headed down to London to celebrate!
Okay guys... I have a confession to make. It will shock, some of you may be unable to carry on but here it is... I'm only on season 2 of Game of Thrones...
As a dancer, I am forced to wear items with generous sprinklings of glitter on them and I have no problem with this, the glitter helps you 'shine' on stage and makes your costume look a lot less boring, I sometimes go as far as using glitter hairspray to make myself look extra-glittery. But it's when you come to get rid of the glitter that's a problem...
Since it's 'Throwback Thursday' I thought I would delve into my photo albums on my laptop to see what fresh horrors awaited me, and Jesus Christ, how embarrassing was I as a teenager? And this got me thinking of some embarrassing facts about myself...
You know when you are so close to something you can almost touch it and it gets annoying when you can't reach it? Well that's how I feel about summer...
I only realised this earlier this month, but today is a rather special day for Hello, I'm Lottie!
Today something happened that made me realise how negative I am about myself... nothing bad, don't worry, but it kinda just opened my eyes a little bit.
Judging by the title you will be thinking, 'Lottie, have you gone crazy?', while the answer will always be 'just a little' this time there's a valid reason behind this.
Okay, I feel that this has to be said, it shouldn't have to be said but someone has to say it.
One thing I am really jealous of, is people who can sing. I literally sound like a beached whale on the rare occasions that I attempt to sing but I reaaaaalllllly wish I sounded at least semi-decent.
GUYS! Oh my gosh... the most amazing thing has just happened... MY COMMENTS FINALLY WORK ON HERE!
I did an adult-y thing today and I voted for the very first time in the General Election!
I don't know if I mentioned this, but I live in England, and you want to know what England is famous for (other than tea and the Queen)... rain!
A YouTuber I watch (It'swaypastmybedtime) has recently moved into her own flat (which is awesome BTW) and that got me thinking how I would decorate my flat when I eventually move out into the big wide world...
You know what I will never understand? The huge shock people have when I tell them I don't like drinking alcohol. Why is this such a shock to people?
You know a while back when I said that I am a big kid? Well today I bought a colouring book... If you follow me on Instagram (it's okay if you don't) you will see a page myself and my friend started today. What you won't see is that we spent one entire hour colouring in Costa Coffee in WHSmith!
Nothing interesting happens to me!! Want to know why I haven't blogged in 2 weeks? Well it's because literally nothing interesting happens to me that you would want to read about! *le cry*
Well... this is my last post after blogging everyday for 1 month! I have to say, I didn't think I would make it, but I am so glad I did!
I think my family must have a faulty gene somewhere, because it seems to be a trait where we are always cold!
As a person who wears glasses in my everyday life, I encounter many struggles that other people fail to recognise and only fellow bespectacled people will understand...
The time has come where my 'Chuck Norris badass genes' have kicked in and I have accepted my fate as future awesome person by blogging with low battery... (Dun dun duuuun)
Most of my friends are into gaming, and I am really not (unless you count Just Dance for the Wii then I am a super gamer) so I thought it would be nice to learn to become 'a gamer'!
I watched Seven Brides for Seven Brothers today and it got me thinking how good films were in the 50s.
So I went shopping with my friends and I realised (to my delight) that Vintage is coming back with a force... and then I had a flashback!
Easter Sunday is the third best day of the year after Christmas and your birthday because your parents are literally begging you to eat chocolate!
It's nice to have certain goals in life (and no, I'm not talking about the 'where do I want my life to go' goals) I'm talking about those goals you set yourself for feeling better about yourself!
I have made the biggest scientific discovery of this generation, it will change people's lives and it will affect the way we look at the world from now onwards. That's right, I have discovered a cure to the common cold!
Myself and a friend had this conversation earlier and it really got me thinking, why do people like things just because celebrities like them?
Right, so this is gonna be a serious blog post... there's a few things I need to get off my chest and I just want to tell you how I am feeling and I hope that you'll understand.
You know what? Ever since I broke up for the Easter holidays I've had a mini revelation of sorts... I've realised how much I actually love reading!
Starring: Russell Crowe, Jennifer Connelly, Ray Winstone, Emma Watson, Logan Lerman, Douglas Booth, Anthony Hopkins
So we got this film a few weeks ago and I wasn't all that fussed about watching it (I'm not one for Biblical Epics), plus the film starred Russell Crowe (sos) so that already put it on a bad foot but I was willing to put all that aside in the name of reviewing it...
Eurghhhhhh.... I have started this blog post 3 times and for some reason I can't find the words (strange I know) and that got me thinking, I think I have a case of 'Blogger's Block'!
So I'm watching "10 Things I Hate About You" (side note: Kat is THE best character ever) and that got me thinking, you guys don't really know anything about me despite that I am 1) female, 2) a student and 3) ummm, so okay that's it. But here are "10 Things You Don't Know About Me"...
Fridays are easily the best day of the week, and Friday evenings... are usually filled with me binge eating Pringles and watching Gogglebox... #sadtruth
Being a student is a difficult time in your life, not only are you discovering who you are and what you like but you have a ton of work to do in order to pass your course. So, naturally, here is how to be a student:
This week has had to have been one the most hectic weeks of my life! But I've had a mini epiphany I would like to share with you all...
So today... it's sunny! I know right, what is this madness? England never has sun, it's the land of perpetual gloom and rain (that's true, you can Google it!)
I have some strange phobias, now I know everyone says this, but in my case it's true! Everyone thinks they're strange and I guess this reflects my personality...
As you are all aware, I am a student and lately the pressure has been on but the problem is... I CAN'T STOP PROCRASTINATING!
It's 5 to 11 and I've only just had time to write this blog post, but I've had a pretty hectic day livin life on the edge (you know... The usual!) But basically I am blogging in the back of a taxi... #totesclassy and I've had a revelation...
I am a big kid, whether it's obsessing about Harry Potter, or ferociously singing along to a Disney song but you can guarantee I do not act my age!
It's March, it's that time of year when the weather cant make up its mind what exactly it is doing. Is it raining? It is sunny? Is it snowy? You'll never know... but what I do know is; I CAN'T WAIT FOR SUMMER!
Normally I am not very good at multi-tasking, my theory was that I would rather do one job well than 3 jobs in a mediocre fashion... until now!
Tuesdays are probably the worst day for me in my college week as I have a three hour gap between my lessons... meaning I get bored fast!
Hands down, the worst day of the week is Monday... more specifically, Monday mornings! Simply knowing that you have to prise yourself out of your nice, warm bed to go to work/school etc makes you want to cry! Don't worry, you're not the only one... we all feel like this! Mondays are the worst!
Usually, I go walking on a Sunday with my family; it allows me to exercise and then to focus on my homework in the afternoon. But, after looking out of the window this morning and seeing a cloudy grey sky, I decided to miss a week and have a lazy day doing homework and finishing odd jobs around the house...
Starring: Benedict Cumberbatch, Kiera Knightley, Matthew Goode, Rory Kinnear, Charles Dance, Mark Strong
Based on the book: Alan Turing: The Enigma

As always, I am late jumping on the 'bandwagon' when it comes to films, and this was no different but all I can say is "THANK YOU SKY MOVIES FOR AIDING MY MOVIE-WATCHING ABILITY!"
I am THE WORST person for arriving on time for things! College, dance, my own wedding, you name it and I will be late for it! I could take all the precautions to be on time, but then something will happen that throws me off track and into the world of 'lateness'. I just can't be on time... it's literally impossible!
So yesterday, after a pretty hectic day, I sat down to watch Julie & Julia and I had a mini epiphany! Amy Adams' character, Julie, like me has a blog and, also like me, she has trouble finishing things. That got me thinking; "well I haven't posted on my blog in over a month, maybe I should take a leaf of Julie's book and set myself a time frame."
Director: Sacha Gervasi
Starring: Anthony Hopkins, Helen Mirren, Scarlett Johansson, Toni Collette, Danny Huston, Jessica Biel, James D'Arcy, Michael Wincott
Let’s be
honest here, Alfred Hitchcock is one of THE MOST famous directors in film
history, so watching about a man that spent his life behind the camera led to
an interesting insight into the man himself.
Okay, can I
just, say something crazy?
All my life
has been a series of doors in my… nope, nope, NOPE!
Let’s start
this again
A lot changes in a year right? You don’t always notice it, but when you
do, you REALLY notice it! And okay, as a teenager, I don’t pretend to know
everything, I still have a long way to go before I can give valuable life
advice. But here are five things I learnt over the course of 2014…
Author: Graeme C. Simison
I know I don’t
post book reviews that often, but often (due to the amount of college work I have
to do) I don’t get chance to read as much as I would like. But recently, I’ve
had a surge of wanting to read so here I am… :)
Starring: Angelina Jolie, Sharlto Copley, Elle Fanning, Sam Riley, Imelda Staunton, Juno Temple, Lesley Manville
If there’s one thing that guaranteed to make me sit up and pay attention, it’s the re-telling of popular stories, especially fairy-tales. This seems to be a trend recently, and I’m not complaining, especially when it’s the re-telling of my favourite villain! I have loved Maleficent for her badass-ness ever since I saw Sleeping Beauty as a child, and this movie didn’t disappoint…
